I recently started running for the first time in a few years on this past saturday the 23rd, ran a few laps then walked a few, next time 2 days later i ran 3 and walked a few, tonight i ran a mile straight and walked a few. Should i just jump right into running a mile every day or to avoid injury should I wait a while, and just keep running every other day?
Would swimming in a pool on the moon (grant that it was a heated pool and not frozen) feel different than swimming in a pool on earth? How and why- some good ole math and equations to back up your answer would be greatly appreciated!
I’m considering swimming every other night for outdoor exercise. But at the moment, I want to lose weight, not gain muscle. Is swimming the best exercise for me? And what does it help with? Thanks.
I am an 18 year old guy and I just did my first triathlon which was a sprint triathlon. My goal is to do an Ironman around the age of 30 if not sooner. Should I work my way up spending several years in each of the main triathlon distances or should I skip straight to training for an Ironman? Or maybe some other method?
I heard that running during the day is better for you than running in the mid-afternoon/night. I would prefer to run around 5 or 6 pm, but would that help me get in shape?
A exciting yet disappointing result for George Hincapie at the 2001 Paris Roubaix. He could have won it for sure had his team been able to be up front supporting him.
We moved into our rental home in December 2008. Our home has an in-ground swimming pool. We had the pool professionally opened on May 7th. The pool company said the filter is broken and needs to be replaced. The cost of replacing the filter and having it installed is $1300. I contacted the home owner and she said they don’t have the money to replace the filter at this time. Who is responsible for replacing the swimming pool filter?
I also wanted to know if it would be OK to deduct $1300 from next months rent to pay for the filter?
I did a triathlon last week. I am a runner. I am not much of a swimmer or biker. But ironically, I did great on my swimming, 0k on my bike and horrible on my run. My legs felt like jelly for half of the run and Iit felt like I didn’t have much control over my muscles even though I have been training for the past 3 months. What can I do to keep that from happening in the future? Thanks for you time.
I have black and curly hair. I swim daily, and have to shampoo and condition my hair every day! Could you suggest me how to keep my hair dry and avoid washing them daily? I’ve tried swimming caps but they dont keep my hair dry.Leave-in conditioner also gets washed away in water. I am looking for something which acts like a protective mask during swimming, and does not look sticky or ugly during the rest of the day.
I was thinking about doing an olympic triathlon in september. I can run about 10 miles already with out to much of a problem, so 6.2 shouldn’t be to hard. But, would 4 months be long enough to train for this. Any tips would be great.
Thanks in advance.
